What if the medicine you need is already growing around you?
Join us for a beginner-friendly herbal class held at Asclepias and More, a native plant nursery, where you’ll be surrounded by the very plants we’ll be learning from. This immersive setting offers a rare opportunity to connect with the medicinal power of plants that are deeply rooted in our local ecosystems.
In this class, we’ll focus specifically on native plants of the Southeast and their role in both personal and ecological health. You’ll learn how to recognize and work with these plants in ways that support your well-being while also honoring the land they come from. We will even meet the plants in person!
During the class, we’ll be working with live native plants, helping you build confidence in identification and deepen your relationship with them through direct experience. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase native plants from the nursery, so you can begin cultivating your own medicinal garden at home.
You’ll learn how to:
Identify a selection of common native medicinal plants
Understand their traditional and modern uses
Harvest with care and ecological awareness
Prepare and maintain your own native medicine plant garden
Bring simple, place-based herbalism into everyday life
This class is designed to demystify herbalism and reconnect you to the healing potential of your local landscape. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to see your surroundings in a new way.
You’ll leave with practical skills, a deeper connection to native plants, and the inspiration to bring both healing and habitat into your own backyard.
🌿 Perfect for beginners, gardeners, nature lovers, and anyone interested in native plants and natural wellness.
Limited to 10 participants.
